You won’t be able to control your nerves when you learn about the children who were chained to the beds for five years. Not to mention the provision of parole for the parents responsible for this! Here’s what you need to know about Louise and David Turpin, who turned their home into a horror house and made their 13 children go through hell…

David and Louise Turpin met when David was 17 and Louis was just 10 years old.

Louise’s father was a pastor at a local church and did not approve of their relationship. Therefore, the two hid their relationship for a while. They then fled with the support of Louis’ mother and were married in 1985. David was 23 and Louis 16 when they got married.

Louise Ann Turpin was born in 1968 and had a troubled childhood.

Louise and her sister Elizabeth were sold by their mother to a wealthy pedophile. This man was raping two sisters in exchange for money. Since Louise was the eldest daughter, she was a target for everyone, including her mother’s father, her grandfather, John Taylor. Louise, who was also abused by her grandfather, begged her mother many times, but her mother did not turn away from her decision by stating that they needed money.

However, according to Louise’s sister Elizabeth, Louise was a helpful and caring person.

Being kind to everyone, Louise has changed quite a bit after 40. She now drinks regularly, fights with people online, and posts obscene content.

Born in October 1961, David Allen Turpin, unlike his future wife, was the “nerd” of the school.

He had a mother who supported him. He enjoyed taking part in school activities, so he took part in many studies. He graduated from Virginia Tech University with a degree in computer engineering and worked for large companies before retiring.

When the calendars showed the year 1986, the couple already had 4 children.

They moved to Texas because of a job offer to David. Since Louise’s younger sister Elizabeth is also attending college, she has decided to live with them. Elizabeth noticed that during her stay, Louise was very strict with all children, especially her eldest daughter. His niece had to get permission to sit at the table, do anything, even talk. Since David has a quiet character, it was usually Louise who made the rules. These rules did not only apply to children. Elizabeth was forbidden to share her home address. In addition, they could not make friends in their area. They didn’t want him to talk to anyone at work, and he wasn’t allowed to bring a guest into the house. He was not even allowed to roam outside the house and use the telephone. Neither he nor his nephews could close the doors of the rooms or even the toilet. When Louise realized that Elizabeth had friends from college, she kicked her out of the house.

It all started when they moved from Texas to California in 2011

David Turpin picked up his children from school and enrolled them here, making their home look like a private school. In the United States, parents, students, or legal guardians are responsible for such foundations and are not subject to government control. From that point on, the couple stopped seeing their families and stopped hosting guests at home. Louise wouldn’t even let Elizabeth and the kids talk on Skype anymore.

On January 14, 2018, two of the children managed to escape from the house at dawn.

They had planned this for two years. 17-year-old Jordan continued to run, even though one of the children ran back home in fear. He desperately sought help but didn’t even know his home address. He didn’t even have a clue about the outside world. Thanks to the number on the mailbox, the police reached the address in a short time.

The scene they encountered was unbelievable.

Looking at the children by flashlight, the police officers thought the children were nearly dead. Their rooms were pitch dark and they were chained to their beds. The house smelled of rotten feces, urine, and spoiled food. The floors were dirty and there was garbage everywhere. It was clear that the children were malnourished, the only clean place on their bodies was where they were handcuffed.

David and Louise Turpin beat, tried to strangle and handcuffed their 13 children over the course of 5 years. In their statements, the children stated that they slept for 15 hours a day in order not to be noticed. They had not seen the light of day for five years. Their parents would take turns calling them to eat once a day. Only then could they leave the room. All they ate was peanut butter sandwiches or frozen burritos.

They could only shower once a year and not go to the toilet often. It was also forbidden to play games in such an environment. All his toys were replaced by instruments of torture by his parents. Brain damage has occurred in some children due to these devices. Only two of them knew what police meant.

After the examinations, it was understood that the oldest child was 29 years old and weighed 37 kilograms. The youngest was 12 years old but had the weight of a 7-year-old.

David and Louise Turpin were found guilty on all 14 charges. They were sentenced to life imprisonment with the possibility of parole 25 years later.
