The plasma wave from a giant spot on the Sun that is large enough to swallow our planet reached Earth on April 25. Scientists named this stain AR2993. Two different explosions were detected at the M1 level in the sunspot. Explosions, which experts group as M-class, can disrupt some radio frequencies. These medium-sized explosions can also expose astronauts to higher-than-normal levels of radiation.

The Sun, which is now in an active phase, completes a calm and stormy cycle every 11 years. The cycles in which the sun is less active, that is, when the eruptions and spots are at their lowest, are called the “solar minimum”. The phases in which explosion and spotting increase are called “solar maximum”. According to scientists, the Sun is currently in its solar maximum phase. However, since the new cycle started in 2019, it will not cause severe weather events yet. Experts state that this phase will reach its peak in 2025. For this reason, severe explosions are expected on the Sun, especially in 2025.
